Seminars and debates in Byala Municipality
Seminars
Byala Municipality has organized a series of seminars that had the purpose of informing, educating and preparing the population with regards to the natural disasters. At these seminars, have taken part students from the 5th grade up to 11th grade. Inspector Krassimir Mitev, representative of the „Fire Safety and Population Protection” has sustained a presentation called „Familiar and non-familiar disasters”, and one called „National Sistem 112 – your SOS number”. The practical part of the seminars has consisted of Q&A sessions.
The seminars have taken place as follows: 11th of June 2018 – at primary school „N.T. Vaptsarov”, 12th of June 2018 – at primary school „Neofit Rilski”, 13th of June 2018 – at highschool „Panayot Volov”, 14th of June 2018 – at primary school „St Cyril and Methodius”, 25th of June 2018 – at highschool „Panayot Volov”
On 20th and 25th of July 2018, 2 seminarss have been organized at the Governamental Psychiatrci Hospital and at the „Multifunctional Hospital for active healthcare”. At these seminars hospital personnel has participated, as well as pacients and visitors. Chief-Inspector Ivelin Dimitrov – Head of “Preventive control and preventive activities” group in “Preventive and control activities” at regional directorate “Fire safety and protection of the population”, region of Ruse had a presentation entitled “Legal bases on disaster protection. Floods, Reasons, Consequences. Potential flood capacities on the territory of Ruse County. Prevention of the population. Action of resque formations during floods. ”
Debates
Byala Municipality has organized 2 public debates. The first debate has taken place on 17th of August 2018, at the local pool in Byala. Citizens of all ages have participated at this debate – students, employees and elderly people. Chief Inspector Krassimir Vladov made a presentation entitled “Rules and actions that could be taken by the population in case of disasters, accidents and catastrophes”. After that Chief Inspector Vladov was asked questions from the audience regarding the increasing natural disasters and what to do to protect their lives and properties.
The second debate has taken place on 27th of August 2018 in the event hall of the Cultural Centre in Byala. As a lecturer was invited George Birlan – a representative of Inspectorate for Emergency situations “Vlashka” in Giurgiu and Mr Lili Gancheva, executive director of Euroregion “Danubius” to share her experience. Citizens from a wide age range attended the debate. The Chief inspectors of “Fire safety and protection of the population” and of the “The police department” in Byala were invited, too. Mr. Birlan presented a project he has taken part in regarding the cross-border cooperation and joint intervention in case of emergency situations on which he worked between 2011 and 2018. After that an open discussion took place between the audience and the official guests.
Seminars and debates in Gradinari Commune
Through Activity 6, Gradinari Commune has organized three seminars and a public debate, the main theme of discussion being the emergency situations, heavy winter situations and fires, prevention and managing of an emergency situation. 2 of these seminars took place on the 7th of June 2018 in 2 schools to which 80 students have attended. On 12th of June 2018, the 3rd seminar has been organized with the participation of the local public institutions’ personnel, respectively 40 people. The public debate has been organized on 12th of June 2018.
Seminars and debates in Malu Commune
Through Activity 6, Malu Commune has organized 2 seminars and a public debate, the main theme of discussion being the natural risks, respectively floods, fires, heavy snowfalls, as well as about the prevention and managing of an emergency situation. The 2 seminars have been organized on the 24th of May 2018, one seminar in the school for the students and the other with the participation of the local public institutions’ personnel. The same day it was organized the public debate to which the entire population of Malu has been invited.
