On 22nd of June was organized a JCC working group in Malu, Giurgiu County, under Activity 2 – Creating a joint system for cross-border risk management in Byala – Gradinari – Malu.

At the session participated representatives 9 volunteers from partner municipalities, representatives of implementing teams, as well as from Giurgiu Cross-border Center for Management and Coordination of the Interventions.

There were approached themes related to the role of public authorities from cross-border area in realizing integrated management for emergency situations at competency level, detailed presentation of joint informational flow; managing resources and intervention; evaluation and limitation of the effects of the natural risks; people protection and rehabilitation of affected areas.

Following the training session from 3rd of May organized at Giurgiu Cross-border Center for Management and Coordination of the Interventions headquarters the 9 members of the Joint Coordinating Committee for managing local volunteering services from the three partner municipalities have gained an overall picture on how to intervene in case of emergency. During the first working group the focus was represented by putting in writing the intervention plan that representatives of each community find efficient in preventing and limiting the effects of emergency situations they will have to deal with, considering the fact that through the project they will benefit not only from adequate training, but from equipment adapted to the needs as well.
